Ms Foibe Uahengo

Foibe DL Uahengo holds a Master’s Degree in Extractive Metallurgy, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Molecular & Physiological Biology. Foibe is a Lecturer in Metallurgy at the Namibia University of Science and Technology, and previously worked as a Metallurgist managing the recovery of uranium via ion exchange, solvent extraction and precipitation for the then RioTinto Rössing Uranium Company.

Foibe was an active part among the project team in developing the Mineral Beneficiation Strategy for Namibia and has keen interest in research projects. 

Because of her love for the youth, she is one of the past leaders of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Young Professionals Council (SAIMM-YPC) for the Namibian branch.
