Biography
Dr Joshua Kibii is a Civil Engineer and Senior Lecturer at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, where he was awarded the GLS Award for Best PhD Dissertation in Water Engineering. He also holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering, obtained cum laude, from Stellenbosch University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering from Moi University, Kenya.
Dr Kibii's research interests include hydrological modelling, climate change, water-resource assessment and management, and hydrological assessments in data-scarce regions. His professional experience includes hydrological and hydraulic analysis for water-supply projects, transport engineering and road-safety data analytics, road and structural works construction supervision, and research in hydrology, water resources, climate change & climate variability and the use of satellite data for hydrology.
