Biography
Dr Shiva Prashanth Kumar Kodicherla is Lecturer at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). Dr Kodicherla holds a PhD from University of Liverpool, UK based on his research on exploring the mechanical behaviour of granular materials considering the particle shape characteristics using discrete element modelling (DEM). Dr Kodicherla has broad research interests in the fields of granular mechanics and soil characterizations. Based on these interests he has worked on a wide range of projects encompassing soil stabilization, finite element methods, discrete element investigations of granular materials tunneling, foundation design, particle analysis and electron microscope analysis. Prior to joining NUST, Dr Kodicherla was a research scholar at Xi’an Jiaotong - Liverpool University in China. He also previously worked as Lecturer for Adama Science and Technology University and Wollega University, Ethiopia, under the United Nations Development Program.
