Biography

Frikkie earned his Nasional Diploma Surveying in 1991 at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (Cape Technikon). Frikkie earned his Master of Environment and Development (Land Information Management) in 2005 at the University of Kwazulu-Natal. He joined the Department of Land Management in 2001 as a lab technician. He got appointed as a lecturer in 2004. He got appointed as Deputy Head of Department from October 2005 until December 2013. He got appointed Head of Department of the newly created Department of Geo-Spatial Sciences and Technology from January 2014 to December 2015. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Land and Spatial Sciences.

 

Professional Affiliation 

  • Registered Technical Surveyor with the Council for Professional Land Surveyors, Technical Surveyors and Survey Technicians in Namibia (SURCON)
  • Member of the Association of Namibian Professional Land Surveyors and Technical Surveyors

  • Land registration and related legislation
  • Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) surveys
