Erich is passionate about the Information Technology side of GIS, more especially in Web GIS, Web cartography and developed a strong interest in Python programming recently. With his strong IT background, he is more interested in identifying methods on how Geospatial Technologies can be used sustainable to improve our lives. Erich earned his Bachelor and Honours degrees from the Namibia University of Science and Technology. He earned his Master’s of Geographic Information Systems and Science at the University of Salzburg (UniGIS). He joined the former Land Management Department in 2011 as a Lab Technician and currently a lecturer in the Department of Land and Spatial Sciences.
