Conrad graduated with a Master of Architecture from the University of the Free State (Bloemfontein, RSA) in 2010. He has worked for DesignWorkShop:SA in Durban before relocating to Bloemfontein to take up employment at Roodt Architects as a professional architect. Conrad became the co-founder of Mapping Architects in 2012 and served as coordinator for the Architectural Draughtsmanship programme at Qualitas Career Academy from 2013-2015. He has won several national (RSA) design competitions and is currently registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession. He joined the Department as a full-time lecturer in 2016.
